How our content is written and reviewed

How Strua's technique and guide pages are reviewed, sourced and corrected.

Who reviews it

Strua is built by Dr. Nicholas Gehle, Psy.D., a licensed clinical psychologist in Florida (license PY8489). Technique and guide pages are reviewed by him before they are published, and each one names him as the reviewer.

Pages are drafted with the help of AI writing tools, then reviewed and edited by Dr. Gehle before they're published.

How we use research

These are the rules our pages are held to. If you find one that falls short, please tell us.

  • When a page says what a technique does, it cites the study and links to it.
  • When the evidence is mixed or limited, the page says so.
  • We describe what might help. We don't claim a technique treats, cures or prevents any condition.

The full list of sources is on our references page.

What our pages don't do

  • No diagnosis and no medication advice.
  • No chatbot, and no AI reads what you write in the app.
  • Strua is not therapy and is not a substitute for professional care.

Updates and corrections

We update a page when the research or the app changes. If something looks wrong or out of date, email hello@strua.app and we'll check it.
