Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Strua ("the Service," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Strua.

Eligibility

Strua is for users aged 18 or older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. Use of Strua by anyone under 18 is not authorized.

1. Description of Service

What Strua Is

Strua is a self-help mental health toolkit that provides:

• 28 evidence-based tools for building emotional resilience
• 21 guided meditation and audio recordings
• 11 guided rituals
• Progress tracking tools (stored on your device)
• Ability to create custom tools
• Educational content about mental health techniques

Clinical Authorship

Strua's content is reviewed and authored by Dr. Nicholas Gehle, Psy.D., a clinical psychologist licensed in the State of Florida. Dr. Gehle does not provide individual clinical care through Strua and is not your treating clinician. The Strua Service is not therapy and is not a substitute for treatment by a licensed clinician of your own choosing.

What Strua Is NOT

Strua is NOT:

• ❌ Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
• ❌ Therapy or counseling services
• ❌ A substitute for professional mental health care
• ❌ Crisis intervention or emergency services
• ❌ A HIPAA-covered entity or medical provider
• ❌ Supervised by a licensed therapist (it's self-directed)

No AI Monitoring or Crisis Detection

Strua does not perform real-time artificial intelligence monitoring of your input. Strua has no crisis-detection capability and does not analyze your entries for signs of self-harm, suicidality, or medical emergency. If you are experiencing a crisis, you must seek help from emergency services or a crisis line — Strua will not detect your crisis or alert anyone on your behalf.

2. Eligibility

Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use Strua.

If you are between 13-17 years old, you must have parental or guardian consent to use Strua.

Mental Health Status

Strua is designed for individuals seeking self-help tools for everyday stress, anxiety, and emotional regulation.

Strua may NOT be appropriate if you:

• Are experiencing a mental health crisis
• Have been diagnosed with severe mental illness requiring clinical supervision
• Are at risk of harm to yourself or others
• Require crisis intervention services

Please consult a qualified mental health professional to determine if self-help tools are appropriate for your situation.

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account by providing:

• Valid email address
• Secure password

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current information
• Update your information if it changes
• Not share your account credentials
• Not create multiple accounts for the same person
• Not impersonate others

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through app settings or by contacting Dr.G@strua.app.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card information.

5. Intellectual Property

Our Content

All content on Strua is owned by us or our licensors, including:

• Tool designs, text, and instructions
• Meditation recordings and scripts
• Visual design and branding
• Software code and architecture
• Educational materials and research summaries

Your Content

Any custom tools or content you create remain your intellectual property. We do not claim ownership of your creations.

License to Use

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Strua for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may NOT:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our content
• Reverse engineer the software
• Use our content for commercial purposes
• Create derivative works without permission

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strua and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Personal injury or emotional distress
• Any damages exceeding the amount you paid us in the past 12 months

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:

• We'll update the "Last Updated" date
• We'll notify you via email for material changes
• Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance

If you disagree with changes, you may stop using Strua and request account deletion.
